A. Billi Free represents the American Midwest and Southwest as a vocalist,
emcee, DJ and beatsmith whose sound is rooted in an eclectic blend of Hip
Hop, soul and electronica. With early exposure to funk, gospel, chamber
music and musical theater, Free began a performance career in Chicago
providing vocals for various Hip Hop and world music outfits. She has
spent the last decade in the deserts of southern New Mexico and west
Texas fusing elements of both the city and the border into her sound. In
addition to her solo recordings and live shows, she currently lends vocals
and performance to El Paso, Texas jazz/Hip Hop fusion band Ribo Ruckus,
serves as 2019/2020 Resident DJ for El Paso Museum of Art and is a
2020 Hip Hop Cultural Ambassador to Mongolia for the US Department of
State and the Next Level USA organization.
