Magnus lands Christmas hit 2018 on the radio and in the iTunes sales charts

The Christmas hit 2018 in the German iTunes charts was not by Wham, Mariah Carey, Chris Rea or Paul McCartney as usual, but by Magnus. His Christmas song “Memories Of Cinnamon”, sung as a duet with the singer Anna Grace from Denver Colorado (USA), overtook world hits like “Last Christmas” by George Michael, “All I want for Christmas is you” by Mariah Carey or the eternal hits of Chris Rea “Driving Home for Christmas” or Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmastime” shortly before Christmas. Just in time for Christmas on 24 December 2018, Magnus took over the top of the German Christmas songs on iTunes. Also in the iTunes Charts in Turkey the song was at number 1 as well as at number 2 of all genres. The album as EP reached the 3rd place in Turkey. In Canada the song also reached a Top Ten position up to 6th place. When Christmas was already over the song climbed further and further in the charts up to position 21 of all genres in Germany.

All other known Christmas hits were already out of the charts. It’s been a long time since a Christmas song has been in the sales charts after Christmas. Radio stations at home and abroad found Magnus’ song so strong that they played it long after Christmas until mid-January 2019.

For a Christmas song this is very rare and unusual. The song ran on more than 80 radio stations at home and abroad and got more than 1200 airplays. Already in the year 2017 Magnus landed a radio hit with the song as solo version. Maybe “Memories Of Cinnamon” will be played regularly at Christmas 2019 with the famous Christmas hits. MAGNUS is different MAGNUS comes from Europe. He has so far released 11 singles an album and two EP`s. The biggest chart successes he had with the song “Out” as well “Higher and Higher”.

His music can be found in the iTunes Pop Charts as well as in the club and dance charts. He is incredibly flexible in his music style. His second album “OUTSIDE” will be released in autumn 2019. Also on this album there will be a mixture of different music styles again.
