Cape Town rockers unleash dynamic debut EP

South African alternative rockers Caelo have announced the release of

their debut EP  Visions for Monday, September 4th. The EP is a sonic tale

of self-actualisation. Showcasing a dynamic range of elements from

fuzzed-up riffs to grunge-pop hooks,  Visions consolidates the early

months of a promising alternative rock band.

In June 2016, Cape Town had its first glimpse of the alt-rock trio. Influenced

by rock legends Biffy Clyro, Muse and Royal Blood, Caelo soared

from obscurity to local popularity within weeks of their debut performance.

The inception of Caelo actually occurred within a moment of

immeasurable inspiration during a Biffy Clyro show the now-frontman

of Caelo, Joel Bronner, attended two years earlier. The trio have crafted

a body of work to encapsulate their obscure beginnings and early

sessions in their rehearsal room – located on the premises of an undisclosed

psychiatric hospital.

The trio’s flair for dynamic range means their

alt-rock comes glazed in a spectrum of unique elements to enthral the

ear from start to finish and conveys a collection of ideas that showcase

the strengths and differences of the band. Drawing on grunge, pop,

math-rock and alternative rock,  Visions is a sonic journey that sets the

foundation for the hugely talented outfit to build upon.

With an inordinate thirst for prolificacy, and a series of exciting shows

ahead, the trio looks forward to new prospects for the future.
