Interview by Tim Brown
When and why did you start playing? When I was 3 years old (classical) Rock 1st band at 14 Which famous musicians do you admire? Why? As a Keyboard player I loved Keith Emerson from Emerson Lake & Palmer for his creativity, and virtuosity
Were you influenced by old records & tapes? Which ones? Not really I’m coming from the 80’s musical culture and we were all leaving it.
Who are your favorite musicians? Groups? CD’s? Depp purple , Led Zeppelin, Bon Jovi, Yes to name a few
Have you been in competitions? Fleadh’s? Any prizes? No
Do you perform in public? Describe those occasions? Concerts, radio, TV Not at this time. We will if the album continues performing well.
What makes this kind of music “good” to you? Feels and sounds good
Why did you choose to play this kind of music? Did not really choose, it just came to me naturally, and that is what I write, play, arrange, and produce.
Let’s Talk about your music and your last work… Last work is a big project that was 2 years in the making from start to finish. 1st Writing and gathering songs, then recording, producing arranging them , then publishing the album and promoting it. I produced a couple of videos mainly to promote the album. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3U3YWWE7H0stGbKt9upRrQ
How do you feel about the internet in the music business? Actually it is a brand new world and a lot of my fellow artists friends are kind of lost My attitude was: learn the process and then use it .Last century “funny to say that” the business was totally different.Today it is a whole different world: Artists record and produce their own material therefore own 100% of mechanical rights and publishing, but the problem is that you also “own” the total cost of your promotion, publishing etc…. which is complicated, confusing and very costly. So doing your homework is imperative, and knowing how to put your money for the best bang is very important.
What are the plans for the future? Well 1st promoting and selling this album all over the world.Writing new materials for the next album & Producing different artists in my studio.
How has your music evolved since you first began playing music? Music is life, and everyday you learn and evolve with good and bad experiences. I think the older you get the better you are. Same for the music.
Could you briefly describe the music-making process? Let inspiration strikes and be open minded when writing music or songs, see where it takes you…
